Your runway is at least 6 months. This ensures that we can work together with full focus on your growth throughout our collaboration.
Your team has at least 3 members, including the founders. You cover key skills and have the time to be successful.
Your product is already on the market and you've won your first customers. Now you're testing and confirming your product-market fit and taking the next step toward consolidating your market position.

Our program works with 5 core focus areas that address the most important challenges of growing impact startups. We tackle them through a variety of formats, individual support and connections within the community.
Already at the application stage, the following five focus areas reflect where you stand and what you need. On this basis, we define individual goals during our collaboration that we want to achieve together:
1. Readiness – improve growth readiness
2. Financing – find the right capital
3. Growth & sales – successfully tap into the market
4. Impact optimization – maximize social value
5. Communication & PR – increase visibility
Here you'll find more details on the focus areas.
To help you scale successfully, we provide you with an individual development plan and a personal coach from our IFA team. You'll also be connected with mentors from our ecosystem for further specialist and industry-specific questions. This way, we can be by your side and pass on expert knowledge.
We work with a constantly growing network of investors, banks, foundations and funding programs and actively connect you with these capital providers. This helps both for-profit and nonprofit startups become economically viable in the long term.
This focus area is a key USP of the IFA program. We help you sharpen your business strategy without losing sight of your social impact. Specifically, we work with you to develop an impact plan, set up impact metrics and build your impact analysis & measurement.
Through our network of supporters, you gain access to relevant partners from business, banks, foundations, other accelerators, economic development agencies and chambers of commerce (IHKs). We open the door to potential partners, new customers or experts from your industry.
We work with AI and make our expertise and tools available to you too. We make sure to use AI not blindly, but "for good". This helps your organization become more effective and create more impact, even with limited resources.
Since 2019, we've built a network of more than 370 startups and 700 participating founders through the Impact Factory programs. Connect through us with like-minded impact entrepreneurs to create even more impact together.
Just like your startup journey, our collaboration doesn't end after the six-month program. If our work together was successful, you become part of our alumni and receive lifetime membership in the Impact Factory Community. Even after your batch, you can join relevant program content and events, or connect with founders from previous and upcoming batches.
These are the seven impact clusters we want to support. To take part, you should address at least one of these areas.
You close material loops and avoid waste by using innovative recycling and upcycling approaches. This not only reduces your environmental footprint but also creates economically attractive business models.
You develop technologies for CO₂ reduction and energy efficiency – from solar and wind innovations to smart energy storage. This way, you actively contribute to the climate-neutral transformation of industrial and urban environments.
Your startup develops concepts that make urban spaces more sustainable and accessible, for example through zero-emission transport systems or smart urban planning. Your impact shows in cleaner air, less congestion and a better quality of life.
With your startup, you address sustainable food and agri-tech solutions that combine resource conservation and food security. This includes innovative cultivation methods, circular agriculture and plant-based protein alternatives, among others.
In this cluster, you promote digital and analog learning opportunities that increase equal opportunity and break down barriers. Your contribution creates more participation and opens up learning paths for people of all ages and backgrounds.
You develop solutions that improve access to healthcare and use care resources more efficiently. The focus is on holistic approaches – from telemedicine platforms to smart assistance systems.
You create solutions for participatory processes, transparent governance and social cohesion. Your impact has a long-term effect: a resilient democracy and communities that are better able to cope with crises.

You apply online. In the process, we use AI to create a detailed profile of your startup. After reviewing all applications, our team conducts selection interviews with promising startups.
We get to know each other in person. You meet your coaches and mentors. We kick off the hands-on work with our first workshops.
You get your personal coach & development plan. In regular check-ins and topic-specific workshops, you put your goals into practice. You can also tap into our network of experts whenever you need.
We come together for further intensive workshops where, with external and internal experts, we drive your startup's development in the fields of action that matter most to you, such as marketing, sales and finance. We also use the time together for peer-learning formats in the group.
We give your pitches the final polish and put them to the test right away: to wrap up, you present your startup to impact investors & decision-makers. At the MatchUp! Day, you can also make valuable connections with experts from the business world.
Around 10 teams go through the Accelerator program in each six-month batch. Here are the teams of IFA Batch 2 from the second half of 2026.
